SUPPORTING OUR ATHLETES WILL REQUIRE STRATEGIC FUNDRAISING AND CAREFUL DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS

NEWS

Sources of Funds

Like most other foundations, JDTFF's primary source of funds will come from institutional and individual philanthropists and established sports-related capital funds. This source of funding is relationship-based, and JDTFF expects to secure philanthropic funding over the course of its first year of operations by making connections and leveraging the networks of JDTFF's Principals and affiliates to secure fundraising opportunities for its operational and athlete support plans. We will also organize and engage in various other fundraising campaigns using outside entities.

Ongoing Fund Development

JDTFF's unique strategy for achieving its fundraising goals is completely unprecedented. Raising funds and supporting athletes the way the organization is intending is a new frontier of elite-athlete development and support. Success in persuading potential funders of the merits of investing in JDTFF will at first be based on the plans, persuasion and overall credibility of its Chairman and Principals. After that, ongoing funding development will depend on JDTFF achieving measurable results in its stated operational goals. Although the achievement of these goals requires adequate initial funding as a prerequisite, JDTFF has faith in the power and potential of the giving perspective to change both the opinions and the values of a significant portion of its targeted Diaspora community or demographic segments.

In addition to the networks and connections of JDTFF's Chairman and Principals, JDTFF will rely on the assistance of its partner organizations to help it raise funds. It will also explore empowering certain well-connected individuals, who are informed about JDTFF's organization and sympathetic to its mission, to help it raise money by offering a commission on substantial funds raised on its behalf.
